Better together

Have you ever had one of those conversations where someone starts listing the wonderfully strange world of collective nouns?
An unkindness of ravens.
A chattering of monkeys.
A parliament of owls.
So, what might we call a group of headteachers? Perhaps a policy of headteachers? Or maybe an inspection? Both feel fitting.
But on a more serious note, I think there’s a better term — an improvement of headteachers.
That word, improvement, sits right at the heart of this new venture. Improve Education was born out of a summer conference that brought together headteachers and school leaders representing more than fifty years of collective experience. Across our different contexts and journeys, one thread connected us all: the drive to get better — for our schools, our staff, and our students.
It’s that same shared purpose that has brought us together now at Improve Education, as we work alongside schools to build the capacity, confidence, and clarity needed to keep improving — long after our visit ends.
