The Programme

From course to character

Five days. A small group. One sustained question:
What does your school need from you — and how do you keep getting better at providing it?

This programme is built around two things that belong together: the vision a school carries, and the learning that happens every day within it.
Learning in all its many faces. From a child sounding out their first words to a group of teenagers designing a solution to a problem that actually matters. From individual mastery to genuine collaboration. From the technical to the deeply human.

Great school leaders see all of it. They recognise where the vision is alive and where it can grow stronger. They understand what learning looks like across that full range — and they have the skill and the confidence to act on what they find.

That is what this programme develops.

How it works
Each day builds on the last. The work moves between evidence and practice, between observation and reflection, between the leader you are today and the one your school needs you to become.

The content draws on the strongest available research — Hattie, Fullan, Robinson, Leithwood — not as theory to absorb, but as foundation to build on. Alongside that, more than twenty years of working with schools across four continents. This programme is where theory and that expertise meet.

The focus throughout is twofold: the technical and the human. How learning works. How leadership works. And — crucially — how the two are inseparable.
By day five, you leave with a personal Learning Improvement Plan. Not a generic document. Something grounded in your school, written in your own words, shaped by five days of serious work.

Who it is for
School leaders at every stage in their carreer— from those stepping into leadership for the first time to experienced principals looking to go further.
Headteachers, principals, deputy heads and senior leaders in primary and secondary schools. In the Netherlands and internationally.

Facilitated by Robin Belles. Deliberately small groups.
