HANDBOOK OF EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT
This handbook has been prepared for Shell Education Services Department (SESD) by World Class Learning (WCL). It presents the policies drawn up by Shell Education Services Department for Shell and Shell affiliated schools. These policies are the ‘non-negotiable’ minimum requirements for the schools.
The Education Services Department welcomes suggestions from schools about these policies. Regular reviews will take place in consultation with head teachers and school boards and adaptations made accordingly.
The appendix section of this handbook contains model policies and procedures as well as blank forms. These documents can be adopted and/or adapted to suit your school’s particular circumstances.
Please regard all references to Shell schools as including Shell affiliated schools.
The handbook is web-based to ensure that everyone has access to the latest version. Any changes will be announced in Shellbrief. If you keep a hard copy of the handbook, please be sure to print out any amended pages and to remove those that will no longer apply.
We hope that you will find the handbook useful and that it will help you as you go about your important tasks.
NOTE: Teachers’ contracts, terms and conditions may vary according to location. For expatriate teachers under IBAS terms and conditions please refer to the Shell intranet for current information. Teachers on direct hire contracts should consult Local HR. Where applicable, global and/or local policies prevail.
